Chapman pitched two scoreless innings on Sunday, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out five batters. However the Reds fell 5–3 to the Indians in 11 innings.

In case you were wondering: the current record for the fastest pitcher to reach 1000 career strikeouts is Kerry Wood, accomplishing the feat in 853 innings.
